Starcat’s Favorites: Deeper into the Dark

It’s the darkest time of year. Here in northern New England, the days are short and often damp and cold. I am finding myself now in sacred preparation for the Winter Solstice, the return of the light. I’m being drawn deeper and deeper within, to a quiet space. I hear my own heartbeat. I rest in silence. I meditate and dream. Like the trees, I rest in stillness, seeing by starlight.  “Ommmmmmm…” All is calm, all is bright. Blessings to you and yours this precious season. Whether you feel festive or forlorn, or perhaps a mixture of each, may you find peace.

This might be the most valuable post I’ve come across all year. Common sense, and yet so empowering. *blissful sigh of release*

It’s so important to honor your needs, especially when you’re in a busy time of year.

Perhaps a media fast is just the thing…consider trying it over the holidays, or as the new year begins.
