Starcat’s Favorites: Gratitudes

It’s almost Thanksgiving, traditionally a time for expressing gratitude – though I was rather amused by a quote a friend shared on Facebook that said “Black Friday: Because only in America, people trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have.” Sounds about right, heh heh. I’ve never been a fan of it, myself, and my family and I actually make a point of not shopping on that day. But I digress.

This month I’ve been taking part in a daily gratitude project. I’ve been putting up a Tweet each day expressing what I’m thankful for in that moment. It’s fun! If you’d like to get in on it, all you need to do is post a Tweet and include “#gratitudes” in the text. If you’d like to connect on Twitter, I’m @NStarcatShields.

In the meantime, here are some links for you to enjoy as you begin the new week. Happy Thanksgiving!

Continuing with the chakra series, here is the post about the fifth chakra.

This video is simply amazing! Apparently optical illusions can tell us quite a bit about how we see the world.

Here are some suggestions for solving problems creatively.

I guess I’m studying creativity this week – here is an article about how to encourage your creativity.

Being present in the moment can help you choose how to react and respond.

And last but not least, here is a cool post, shared with me by a friend, about going with the flow.
